I saw a few ads for another clothing try-on service called Wantable and wanted to compare it to Stitch Fix.

Here’s what I got in the June box and how I styled the pieces.

Piece 1: Michel Studio Mixed Media Laser Cut Cami – $48

I really liked the length & fit of this piece as well as the color. The scalloped neckline made it extra sweet.

Piece 2: DEX Pleated Front Tie Pant – $65

My favorite piece in the box. These pants are perfect for work and would easily transition into fall with a cute bootie.

Alan’s Rating: 4 (They look comfortable without being too casual.)

Piece 3: Love & Legend Short Sleeve Striped Boyfriend Tee – $32

This shirt was super comfy, but for the price point was not necessarily worth it.

My Rating: 3.5

Alan’s Rating: 1.5 (Can get a similar style for a much better value.)

Piece 4: Vigoss Jagger Classic Fit Skinny Jeans – $78

The jeans were comfortable and fit true to size. The only thing I didn’t like about them is how much they bunched up in the knees (It made them look a little wrinkled).

Piece 5: Lucky Brand All Over Embroidered Daisy Top – $49

Cute piece. I liked the embroidering. It’s a versatile piece as a relaxed tee.

Piece 6: Kut From The Kloth Denim Jacket – $79

A good denim jacket is a staple in any wardrobe. It’s comfortable and stretchable with movement. If I didn’t just get a denim jacket, I would buy this.

Piece 7: Street Level Koko Shoulder Bag – $78

Loved the color on this bag. It’s got a really cute front piece that can double as a clutch. I think a bag like this is a versatile accessory to any outfit. It reminds me a little bit of the Madewell tote bags in a smaller size.

So how does Wantable work?

It’s very similar to Stitch Fix! Here’s a link to that blog to read my take.

Similarities:

• You fill out a style quiz. It’s thorough but easy to take.
• You can link your Pinterest board to give them a better look into your style.
• You can add a note to let your stylist know that you’d like to see in your box.
• You pay a $20 styling fee per box which you can use towards your purchase.
• You get a 20% discount if you purchase all the items in your box.
• You can exchange for a different size.
• Price points are about the same Stitch Fix vs. Wantable. Little on the expensive end, but higher quality pieces that you would get a lot of use out of.
• Prepaid package to send items back in (and it’s free).
• Downloadable app to make checking out easy.

Differences:

• You get 5 days to try on your items vs. Stitch Fix, which gives you 3.
• You get 7 items vs. 5 items.
• You can visit what’s called “The Stream”, a place where you can pick out items you would like to see versus items you’d rather not. Check out their FAQ for more info.
• Alan says he thinks there is more of a range of items in the Wantable box vs. Stitch Fix.

Overall, I think the two styling companies are pretty similar. I will keep you posted as to my thoughts on further boxes from Wantable & Stitch Fix. I’ve been pleased with both my experiences so far!
