Stitch Fix Try-On!

Hey everyone!

I recently started using Stitch Fix and I wanted to share my latest unboxing and try on session with you to 1) show you how I styled the pieces they gave me and 2) show you how the service works & give you an opportunity to try it out for free!

What’s in my June box:

Piece #1: Leena Printed Skirt

The skirt was not one of my favorite pieces, but I think it would be good for those looking for a wear-to-work piece. It’s definitely a form fitting piece, so you need to be comfortable rocking the curves in this skirt.

My rating: 3.5

Alan’s rating: 3

Piece #2: Evander Dress

I really love this dress. It’s a color I don’t have in my wardrobe. It’s definitely a fun summer piece, good wear-to-work option, and the style is flattering for most body types.

My rating: 4

Alan’s Rating: 4

Piece #3: Camomile Stone Layering Necklace

According to Alan, this necklace is too bo-ho for me, but I liked the simple style with the layering & think it’s a versatile necklace.

My rating: 3

Alan’s Rating: 2

See photos with skirt above.

Piece #4: Jarred Lace Detail Cap-Sleeve Blouse

Definitely my least favorite piece but I think it was mostly due to the fact that it didn’t fit me as well and was a bit tight. I did love the beautiful lace detail on the top.

My Rating: 1.5

Alan’s Rating: 1

Piece #5: Martha Off The Shoulder Maxi Dress

My absolute favorite piece in the box! I love the off-the-shoulder look & normally don’t love the way it looks on me, so I don’t own any pieces like this. But this is so beautiful and perfect for a date night or event & could possibly work into the early fall.

My Rating: 5

Alan’s Rating: 5

I want to hear your thoughts on the pieces! Tell me what you think & help me pick what I should keep!

If you have other subscription boxes you’d like me to try out, let me know (Dia & Co., Nordstrom’s Trunk Club, etc.)! I would love to help out by trying it first!

IF you want to try Stitch Fix, read on:

Here’s how it works:

  1. You fill out a style questionnaire with your likes & dislikes, sizes, style, etc. (be as honest as you can).
  2. Stitch Fix will assign you a stylist and pick out 5 different pieces based on your questionnaire (the pieces will be different every box).
  3. You receive said pieces in the mail every month (or a different frequency if you prefer. I do every two months).
  4. You try on the pieces and decide what you like. (BEST. PART. EVER.)
  5. What you do like you keep & pay for, what you don’t like, you drop back in the mail (in a prepaid package).

A few things to note: You pay a $20 fee for each box (for the stylist to put your pieces together). IF you decide to keep some of the items from the box you get to use the $20 fee towards your purchases. If you don’t choose to keep anything, the $20 is all you’ll have invested in the experience. BUT, if you use my code, you’ll get $25 to try your first box for FREE.If you decide to keep all 5 of the pieces in your box, you get a 25% discount on everything plus the $20 off from the styling fee.

My tips for a great Stitch Fix experience:

  1. Create a Pinterest board of your style inspiration to get better curated pieces. You can link your board right to your profile in Stitch Fix and this will help your stylist to pick the best pieces for you. You can check out the board I created for my Stitch Fix here.
  2. Be as honest as possible in the questionnaire. Tell them about your style; what you like, dislike, favorite colors to wear, patterns you prefer vs. patterns you wouldn’t wear. And do let them know if you want to try new things and expand your wardrobe. For example, since this month is my birthday month, I let my stylist know I wanted a fun piece to possibly wear for a party!

These are all very nice. I lie the Evander dress the best. One silly question. What do you do for a bra with th off the shoulder dress?

    And: Party? Birthday? 😉

Haha, not silly! I would wear a strapless bra for that or those stick on bra things. Sometimes, because I’m not that well endowed, I’ll just go without 😂🙊
