Hi friends, it’s bee a long while since I’ve published a blog! 2020, am I right? It’s been one heck of a year, but now that I’ve finally gotten back into the swing of things, I’m ready to share some more blog content!

And we are kicking it off with a great one; my review of a new styling service, Fashom!

Similar to StitchFix, Nordstrom Trunk Club, or Dia & Co, it’s a styling service that helps you add items to your wardrobe without having to do the searching!

To get started, download the app to your phone, create an account, and then request a box. You can add a note to your stylist to give you items that you’re looking. For instance, last time I requested a box I asked for sweaters for the coming fall weather! Once you’ve requested a box, you get to review what your stylists has chosen and if you don’t like it, you don’t have to accept it in your box! Super convenient. Once you get your box, try on the items and decide over 3 days, then package the items you don’t want to keep for a free and easy return!

I think Fashom differs from other styling services with that feature to say yes or no to items that have been chosen for you, it truly makes the service more personalized and removes any frustration you may have with receiving items you don’t like. I found that frustrating with my StitchFix boxes.

Here are a few more details on Fashom:

  1. There’s no subscription you need to sign up for and first styling session is FREE. After your first, the styling fee is $25, which is pretty typical for a styling service. Having no subscription means you can try it once and if you don’t like it, you DON’T need to cancel anything. So easy.
  2. You can preview and choose your 5 pieces. I just went over this, this is super convenient and makes it easier for you to get the items YOU want.
  3. Get 25% off for keeping 3-4 pieces and 30% for all 5. This is a good one! I’ve only ever seen styling services give 20%-25% off, 30% off is great!
  4. Get personally styled by human beings not algorithms. I don’t know of any styling service that I’ve tried that has used an algorithm to choose the pieces I received. I’ve always talked to a stylist, so I think this claim may just be a little bit off, but who knows!

What I got in my box:

Now to what you were all wondering? What did I get in my box??

Super cute stuff, of course! I told my stylist that I wanted tops/sweaters for the upcoming fall weather and she delivered! I chose to keep 3 of them and I’ve styled them below:

I paired this simple grey sweater with A’ Beautiful Soul black denim, Target booties, and a belt. A simple, classic look that’s so easy to pull together! The grey sweater is just the right amount of cozy without being too heavy! Shop the boots and belt below.

I love this outfit so much!! You know how much I rave about my Madewell overalls, but paired with this top, it’s a fall dream outfit. I love the colors in this top, the plaid just really screams fall! Instead of boots, I opted for some cute mules, much easier to get on and off. Shop similar items below:

Finally, this casual top paired with simple black leggings and the same mules. Really love the length of this top, it’s perfect for leggings and is so cozy! So great for WFH!

The price points for each item were between $25-$50 and I thought the prices were about what I would expect for each item. The overall pricing was better than StitchFix or Dia & Co, which I felt were borderline too high.

Overall, while the app is still being improved upon (there are some functionality kinks to work out), I think Fashom is really such a great company with a wonderful team who are passionate about what they’re doing. I feel like the style was very well matched to what I wanted and I loved the ability to say yes or no to the items that we chosen for me.

I would definitely say this is my favorite styling service, with Trunk Club coming in second.

See the rest of the items from my box in my Instagram post, I’ll link it below!
