We’re headed to sunny (and insanely hot) Florida this week!

I am so excited to adventure with my husband & in-laws and take ALLLL the photos. We’ll be in Venice & Miami during the week we’re there, so the key will be to wear light clothing to avoid sweating (as much as possible) and limit chub rub (it’s a real problem).

Here are a few items I’m packing for the trip:

Regular Old Blue Jeans I got mine from Old Navy (similar to this pair), but there are so many options for every shape and size! It takes some time to find ones that you truly love, so keep trying different styles to find what you like best.

Distressed Boyfriend Cutoffs (Old Navy) I have always wanted to own a pair of black cutoffs but haven’t ever found any that I loved. I came across this pair and was happy to find that 1) they were long enough and 2) they were a looser, more comfy fit.. Right now they’re sold out of sizes 16-22, but still have sizes 24-30 left. They also have a pair of 3″ cutoffs that aren’t plus size that are on sale for $24.99. You can check them out at this link.

Shortalls! I got my shortalls from GAP last year (similar to these) and I love them. They’re fun & playful and I promise, when styled right, you won’t look like a farmer or a 5 year old. I like to pair them with a tank top (stripes work great) and some Birkenstock knockoffs (here’s a link to a post where I styled them that way).

Boat-Neck Luxe Tee (again Old Navy) Can’t stop talking about this shirt! I love the feel, it’s a great length, it’s super versatile, and it’s a piece you will get a lot of wear from. Comes in sizes XS-XXL and is currently $12.

Tie-Front Top (Old Navy) I have this shirt in both the yellow & navy stripe. I feel like you can’t go wrong with wearing yellow in Florida! It’s a light-weight shirt that’s breathable & would look cute with shorts or paired with ankle length pants. It runs TTS and comes in sizes XS-XXL. Right now it’s $22.99.

T-Shirt dress (Old Navy) I’ve talked about this dress on the blog & Instagram before and it’s a favorite of mine. It’s simple, perfect for the 4th of July, is lightweight and can be dressed up or down. Comes in sizes XS-XXL and is currently on sale (some as low as $8)!

Floral Maxi Dress (Amazon) With over 2500 reviews, this dress is a winner all-around. Whenever I wear it, people are always asking where I bought it from. I’ve shared it before, but I have to keep sharing because it’s a favorite! It’s comfy, flattering, and comes in tons of beautiful patterns! I cannot recommend this dress enough. Most of the patterns go up to size XXL. If you have a bigger chest, this dress may provide some issues in the front with the buttons, so be conscious of that when ordering.
