Happy Memorial Day weekend!

The unofficial start to the summer is here and I am excited!

In that spirit, I want to share my top five makeup must-haves for summer. Everything is linked so you can view & shop if you’d like and I also have them saved on my Favorite Beauty Products Pinterest board.

1. Moisturizer with SPF (essential and not technically a makeup product, but whatever!) One, moisturizing should be one of your first steps in any skincare routine and two, protecting that beautiful face from sun damage is vital! I use Aveeno Positively Radiant daily moisturizer — it’s got SPF 15, is lightweight, and also works to even skin tone. I’ve been using this moisturizer for over two years and it has worked wonders! It lasts for a good while and I highly recommend.
2. Wearing makeup in the summer is always difficult (because, hello sweat!) and runny makeup is not pretty. Cue one of the greatest inventions known to makeup lovers–setting spray! Two of my favorites are Ulta Beauty’s Matte Makeup Setting Spray and NYX’s Matte Makeup Setting Spray.  I prefer the matte version, but if you like the dewy makeup look, there are options by these brands to check out as well.
3. I love using blush to add a pop of color to my cheeks & this Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso is perfect for summer. It’s a pretty, shimmery (but not too much) peach color and it adds a nice glow to any look.
4. Any summer makeup look can be elevated by a good bronzer. I like this Ulta Beauty Baked Bronzer because it’s buildable and has a touch of shimmer that adds a bit of highlight when applied. Use it with a powder brush (I use this one from Real Techniques) and watch the compliments roll in. 😉
5. Last but not least, is a good mascara. On days when a full face of makeup is just not going to happen, it’s the perfect quick way to step up your look. I love Maybelline’s Volum’ Express waterproof mascara and L’Oréal Paris’ Voluminous Lash Paradise. Both are great options!
